Scooters Australia has been in the electric mobility scooter business since 1992 and is currently run by the original owners who started the business from scratch, back in the days when scooters were only just entering the market. It’s simple: Our buying philosophy
There are no other companies in Australia that deal directly with three overseas manufacturers and four local importers. (There are no mainstream scooters made in Australia).
Our overseas suppliers are located in Taiwan and China, and the Company Directors have face-to-face meetings with their international sales and technical staff at least 3 times a year - at their factories. We advise and help on Quality Control issues on each visit, and help with designing and testing the products before they go on sale in Australia.
These international companies range in size from 300 to 5000 employees and produce scooters and powerchairs sold around the world by both small importers and large multinationals in the mobility business, often under their own brand names.
Quality control and testing of products is at the forefront of their operations and all have international certification, EU and USA compliance, and conformity to relevant ISO standards.
We have exclusive agreements with all our international suppliers.
We only purchase models that we consider suitable for the Australian market and able to stand up to the particular rigours of our local conditions. All of these products are backed by a steady supply of parts that are stocked in our warehouse in Australia.. All scooters are TGA certified.
Because we deal with 7 different suppliers, we are able to bring to our customers the best models available, with the widest range, and at the best prices.

If you wish to become an exclusive dealer, we offer you sales rights in your own territory, direct connection to our 1800 / 1300 network, comprehensive one-on-one training at Head Office, an Operations Manual that details all aspects of mobility retailing, and support from our dealership staff who will personally deal with you on all matters that concern you, including supply / sales issues, technical matters, and marketing techniques.
And we advertise nationally to supply you with leads.

There are excellent opportunities in areas where we currently do not have exclusive coverage and need representation as an exclusive Scooters Australia dealer with a defined territory. There is often an established dealership also for sale at a reasonable price.
For those interested in an exclusive mobility scooter dealership in a particular area, but where there is currently a reseller already located in that area, you still have the opportunity of taking over the territory and inheriting that re-seller, who will then purchase from you.
