Hi there, I have a scooter that belongs to a friend, we borrowed it for my partner’s grandmother who has now passed away so we are wanting to get it fixed before we return it. I had previously contacted another company and they came out to diagnose what was wrong with it and then never came back to fix it. And I don’t think they really knew what was going on as they called my in laws to “come pick it up” when it had never been taken. Apparently, it was the batteries that needed to be changed.

Mobility Scooter Service

When was the last time you had your mobility scooter serviced? It might have been six months ago (that’s good) or more than a year ago (that’s not so good). The constant wear and tear of daily use on your mobility scooter or powerchair can take its toll on your vehicle overtime. Servicing your mobility scooter is an expense, but the potential costs of damage done to the motor, suspension and brakes due to a lack of maintenance are much greater. Servicing your scooter every 12 months helps prevent serious accidents and protects your warranty.

Take a look at the axle (left image) and you can see why mobility scooters need regular servicing by an authorised technician.

Luckily, Scooters Australia have expert manufacturing and service technicians in all capital cities and in many regional centres throughout Australia that can service your scooter onsite, or at your home using our mobile workshop vans*. We offer a full comprehensive service for all mobility scooter makes and models. Our technicians are trained in both electronics & mechanics and will keep you confident that your vehicle will have a long life.
