There are two ways to purchase a mobility scooter from Scooters Australia:

• You can ring one of our stores and arrange for a home demonstration, free of charge ... OR

• You can visit one of our stores and see a full range in the showroom.

Scooters are like cars.

We strongly advise you not to purchase a scooter without first trying one, personally. It's like buying a car - you need to sit in it and drive it to determine if it is right for you. And if you have not driven a scooter before, we offer free training for every customer at time of delivery.That way you receive comprehensive safety training before you take to the streets to enjoy your freedom and independence.

We also deliver free of charge in all metropolitan areas and in most regional areas.

Internet Sales?

We do not sell scooters over the net because we believe it is neither safe nor workable. We have been dealing with people who need scooters for 20 years and we know that a professional personal approach always delivers a better result. Our salespeople are happy to visit you at home and show you a range of products and they will keep keep going back until you are happy you have found the right scooter. This sometimes takes 2 or 3 visits with up to 8 or 9 scooters to make sure you are happy with the right selection.  And then we train you how to safely use your mobility scooter, and give you a certificate of competancy.

If you buy over the internet a box turns up on the front doorstep and if you don't like what you received it's up to you to get it back - often in another state. It's not a good way to get the right mobility scooter.

• Mobility scooters are too heavy to lift out of a box easily.

• Mobility Scooters need some basic assembly and checking when they are taken out of the box.

• Batteries have to be installed and the chaging rate checked to ensure a long battery life.

• Electric mobility scooters need servicing each year and to protect yourself and your warranty you should have this done by the retailer who sold the scooter to you. This is almost impossible with an internet purchase. When internet buyers run into performance problems they pay a premium for any repairs or servicing - usually after they have tried to fix it themselves or have had a "mate" take a look at it.

Pre delivery assembly, proper operation and safety check can only done properly by an authorised staffperson .

Because each person has their own requirements, we always take out a selection of scooters on home demonstrations so that you can be sure you have chosen the correct scooter. And if you purchase, we train you in the safe use of a mobility scooter and issue with a certificate of competancy.
