With our Home Care products, as with our other products, price is not the most important principle in deciding what we will sell to our customers. You might sometimes be able to buy a cheap mobility scooter elsewhere, but we guarantee the quality of our products - we only purchase from premium manufacturers. We believe that in this industry, quality and reliability really matter. But if you check out our prices for Home Healthcare products and you will find us hard to beat.
On-line Sales
We have decided not to sell directly on line as we believe that most people wish to either discuss their requirements with a professional, or have an actual hands on examination of the products to assess their suitability.
Phone Sales
You can purchase most of our Home Health Care products over the phone with your credit card, by direct deposit, or send us a cheque after deciding what you require. Store Sales
If you want to discuss the suitability of any of these products before purchasing, then either visit one of our stores or ring and speak to one of our trained staff. We will be happy to discuss your requirements and try to find the best mobility product for your needs.
Scooter Sales
You can purchase a Mobility Scooter now, or by visiting one of our stores. Either way we will provide you with the same service and warranty conditions.
Prices
Because we offer most of our products for sale by mail order, we can keep the prices lower than our retail prices.If you come to our stores or if we come to you to do a home demonstration you will pay slightly more. There is no GST on Home Healthcare products or mobility products. GST is payable on some accessories. We’re happy for you to compare prices, but make sure you’re comparing apples with apples – and good ones at that!
Delivery and Conditions of Sale
Once we have received payment, your goods will be delivered in a cardboard box, normally within a week, depending on where you are and the freight company’s schedule. You will need to be able to take delivery of the box and cut the box open. You may need to do some basic assembly, without tools (or with tools supplied with the goods if needed). This usually involves pushing parts together, doing up knobs, or some simple bolting together or fitting batteries.
1. Service and Repairs – in every state.
With Scooters Australia, you have access to our technicians in every state capital and in many regional areas. When you purchase from us we guarantee to repair the product and provide continuing service in every mainland capital. Because we have stores in each Capital City and in many regional areas, you can be assured that we will be able to look after you in the state where you live. There is no need to return the goods to a single warehouse location.
2. Warranty
What your payment covers:
- The goods ordered
- 12 month's warranty on Home Care products, longer on other products (see Mobility Scooter Warranty)
- TGA compliance (Therapeutic Goods Administration)
What your payment does not cover:
- Freight - you must pick up the goods in Melbourne, or pay for delivery. See below for delivery costs throughout Australia. For warranty repairs you must return the goods to your nearest Scooters Australia store
- Call out fee for warranty repairs if you do not return the scooter to a metropolitan Scooters Australia store
- Training in the use of the goods (with safety certificate for scooters), apart from the information in any instructions that come with the goods.
